Today's Readings: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Today's Readings bring us to the great glory of God: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
to God who is, who was, and who is to come.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

In today's world, the name of God is often blasphemed. Even many Catholics sometimes take the Lord's name in vain. Let us all commit to bringing glory to the name of God in the Most Holy Trinity. It is needed now for us to step up to the plate. If someone takes the Lord's name in vain, bow your head and in a quiet voice say, "Blessed be His holy name." Or, if the person is open to correction, say, "Please don't take the Lord's name in vain." It is very much needed today.

At times the text describes the guest in the singular, other times in the plural. Christians came to see the event as an early revelation of the Holy Trinity. Jim Forest
