Today we can read our Bibles, especially today's reading from Acts, and see the rejection of the Sanhedrin, how they wanted to put the Apostles to death, and we can know that there is no victory in their words. We know that their own condemnation brought condemnation upon themselves. In the Gospel, Christ says that "the wrath of God remains upon him" who disobeys the Son.

These are not vague stories from history. They mean something to us. We know what has become of those who rejected Christ and we know what has become of those who built up His Church. Let us, then, apply this knowledge to our own life here and now. God is not bound by time. All is "now" to Him. We, too, can have the courage to stand before the judgments of the powerful, as the Apostles did. God will give us the grace to do His will, and He will not forsake us, even if we are made to suffer death for our faith.

God bless you.

Love from Lisa
